Solar panels for Northumberland village hall get the green light
and live on Freeview channel 276
An application by the Howick Village Hall Trust seeking permission for the work has been given the green light by Northumberland County Council.
The certificate of lawfulness means the work can proceed without a formal planning application.
Copley Hall is not listed or within a conservation area.

Hide AdA planning student, delegating approval, reported: “The purpose of applying for a Certificate of Lawfulness is to enable the applicant to obtain a statutory document from the Local Planning Authority confirming that the development applied for is lawful for development management purposes.
“Once the certificate is issued the applicant would not be required to make a planning application in order to carry out the proposed works, unless there are changes in the relevant legislation prior to the commencement of development.”
