Traffic delayed after part of A1 closed in Northumberland
One lane of the A1 in Northumberland was closed earlier today after a caravan suffered a puncture.
One northbound lane, between the A197 Morpeth South turn-off and the A697, was closed for a short time.
The fire service and police attended following reports of smoke coming from the vehicle.
A police spokesman said the caravan had a punctured tyre, which was changed and the road reopened.
