Planning technician Esther Ross, granting approval using delegated powers, reported: ‘It is considered that the design and materials of the proposed windows and doors would not give rise to a negative impact to the levels of amenity afforded to neighbouring properties or residents.

The plans had been welcomed by North Sunderland Parish Council and the Northumberland Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
