AS a small retailer in Alnwick town centre I dread the month of November every year.
I become very disillusioned as the town becomes deserted.

Everyone is off to the MetroCentre or Newcastle to do their Christmas shopping.

I sometimes wonder if the people of Alnwick appreciate the fantastic service that they are given by their local shops.

I am often told by my customers that they have been all around Newcastle and the MetroCentre and couldn't find what they were looking for. Then they come to me and are actually given a choice!

Why not shop local first? Before you "clunk, click" to make that trip please think seriously:"Do I really need to drive down the A1, spend money on fuel and parking before I even buy anything?"

Help Alnwick to stay unique and support your local retailer please!
