AN Amble artist's work is on show in Newcastle.
Larraine Duquehin's work was one of the winning pieces of in an open art competition inspired by the theme Make Someone a Work of Art.
The competition, now in its ninth year, has been designed to foster the North East's creative talent, and the exhibition will showcase the selected works submitted by professional and amateur artists based within the region.
Larraine, of Gloster Park, has a background in social work and teaching and took a foundation diploma in art and design two years ago. She is now studying for a degree.
She has exhibited at Woodhorn Museum and Irving Gallery in Berwick.
The theme encourages artists to explore how we might see people as art – be it as a watercolour, oil painting, sculpture, photograph or piece of film.
Her work is featured in The People Show at The University Gallery, Northumbria University, until Friday, September 12.
The gallery is open Monday to Thursday, 10am to 5pm, and Friday and Saturday, 10am to 4pm, closed Bank Holiday Monday. Admission is free.
