THE National Trust is inviting schools and youth groups to get creative this autumn and compose a song with a green message, in the hope of becoming its Christmas number one.
The winners of the primary and secondary age groups in Greenfactor will have their songs published on the National Trust green living website and receive a goody bag of green products. One of them will go on to be named the National Trust's Christmas number one.
"This is a great way to get children and young people involved in a creative project that has the environment at its heart," said Alex Murphy, School Arts Partnership Coordinator at the National Trust.
Entries should be sent on CD or DVD to
Green Living Song Competition, The National Trust, Heelis, Kemble Drive, Swindon, SN2 2NA or by email to alex.murphy@nationaltrust.org.uk, along with a text version of the lyrics, a group name, a contact name, address, phone number and email.
