Brave visitors and competitors turned out on Saturday, despite mud-ridden fields and torrential downpours, to enjoy the afternoon's festivities.
And octogenarian Jean Spours stole the show, winning the cup for the best cookery exhibit after taking first prize for her sponge cake and sandwich cake without expecting to win any prizes at all.
The 85th show was held in the church and memorial halls and surrounding fields, with pony sports taking place in the show field.
Youngsters made a splash in the muddy fields, taking part in children's sports and competitions.
Heads on the Block from Wooler played to entertain visitors.
Children's sports organiser Robert Johnston said: "We've had a lot of children taking part with about eight to a race.
"It's been very enjoyable and great fun, and the children are quite competitive."
Show organisers were pleased with the turn-out, and delighted with the help and support of the committee and volunteers.
Chairman John Swanson said: "The encouraging thing is that the exhibits are superb, the quality is really good.
"The committee and all the volunteers put in a lot of hard work every year. A lot of people who help aren't on the committee. And the exhibitors have put in a lot of hard work, and when it all comes together like that it is terrific.
"We could have done with some sunshine, but you can't have everything!"
Secretary Claire Swanson said: "We must have a lot of loyalty.
"The exhibitors were the same as ever and to the same high standard, despite the weather."
