SATURDAY'S Coates trophy, played in miserable, wet condtions, resulted in a four-way tie, victory going to greenkeeper Jim Storey by virtue of a better back nine from Ian Rogerson and juniors Jamie Jobson and Sam Gattens.

Belford
BEN Young returned to winning ways in winning the Friday night round of the M H Southern and Co Ltd Twilight Competition.

Scoring 21 points he beat Scott Hunter by one. Third was Ray Duncan, with John Smith and Neil Jefferson also picking up points.

Torrential rain saw the cancellation of Sunday's Charity day and it is hoped that this competition can be re-scheduled for the end of August.
Burgham Park Ladies
SIX ladies braved the rain to compete in the club championship.
