SUPPORT has flooded in from England fans backing Alnwick's international soccer starlets Lucy Bronze and Lucy Staniforth.
The pair are part of the 21-strong U17 Women's England squad who are currently playing in the first ever U17 Women's World Cup.

England are just one step away from reaching the final. The Lionesses play Korea DPR in the semi-final at 3am English time tomorrow morning (Thursday).

And fans throughout the country have thrown their support behind Lois Fidler's side on the website www.facebook.com

So far 40 people have added their name to the new Facebook group Get Behind The England Women U17s in the World Cup.

Both Lucys have featured in every World Cup match for England.

The Lionesses beat Brazil and Nigeria in their opening two Group D matches before losing 3-0 to Korea Republic. The defeat meant England qualified for the quarter-final stage as group runners-up. But it didn't matter, as the Three Lions knocked-out Japan in the last eight. Lucy Staniforth scored in the clash.

See how the Lucys get on against Korea DPR by visiting our website tomorrow.
